Job Description SummaryThe Sr Manufacturing Staff Manage, Uranium & Containers, is a leader on the Nuclear Fuels staff responsible for the commercial and operational management of the company's uranium portfolio and the comprehensive oversight of the nuclear container fleet. This role encompasses contract management with enrichers, uranium accounting for utility customers, and storage optimization. Furthermore, this position leads the strategic planning, maintenance, and lifecycle management of the fleet of nuclear containers required for shipping powder and fuel assemblies, ensuring readiness and meeting the requirements for new builds. This role ensures all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory, contractual, and customer requirements.
Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities- Administer and manage contracts with uranium enrichers, including commercial terms, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.
- Serve as primary point of contact with enrichment service providers for day-to-day coordination, negotiations, and issue resolution.
- Monitor contract compliance, including quantity, quality, and timing of enriched product deliveries.
- Collaborate with Legal, Supply Chain, and Finance to negotiate new contracts, amend existing agreements, and manage renewals.
- Oversee uranium accounting and tracking for utility customers, ensuring accurate recording of ownership, transfers, and inventory across the fuel cycle.
- Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes to ensure traceability of uranium origin, enrichment level, and use.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to reconcile inventory positions, shipments, and material balances.
- Prepare and review periodic uranium account statements and reports for utilities, addressing questions and discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure uranium accounting practices comply with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
- Manage contracts and commercial relationships related to uranium storage facilities and service providers.
- Optimize storage strategies to reduce costs, improve logistics, and support long-term uranium portfolio management.
- Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, and Finance to ensure accurate billing, forecasting, and reporting for storage activities.
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to identify and lead process improvements that reduce material losses and improve recovery rates.
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to uranium utilization and scrap generation.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new opportunities for uranium storage that support strategic objectives and customer needs.
- Analyze market conditions, storage capacity availability, and logistics to create a strategy to maximize our licensed capability to support the industry.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for uranium opportunities.
- Develop commercial structures and contracts for uranium services that create value for both the company and utilities.
- Represent the business externally through customer engagement and leadership participation at industry events, forums, and professional associations to strengthen business relationships, enhance market presence, and support strategic growth objectives.
- Partner with senior business leadership to translate long-term uranium business objectives into executable project roadmaps and portfolio priorities.
- Manage the full lifecycle of the nuclear container fleet used for shipping powder and fuel assemblies.
- Develop and execute a long-term container strategy, including procurement, maintenance, and replacement schedules to ensure fleet reliability.
- Lead the planning and execution of container fleet requirements specifically to support the deployment and scaling of new builds.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Business, or related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in nuclear fuels, uranium trading/management, and/or fuel cycle operations.
- Experience with uranium enrichment, conversion, fabrication, or fuel supply contracts strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of the nuclear fuel cycle (mining, conversion, enrichment, fabrication, use, storage) and uranium material forms.
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration, commercial negotiations, and stakeholder management.

Additional Information- This role will require travel up to 25% of time based on business needs.

- Role is to be in Wilmington, NC. Remote working opportunities are not possible.
Desired Qualifications - Background in materials accounting, nuclear material tracking, or fuel cycle logistics is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and safeguards related to nuclear materials (e.g., NRC, IAEA, etc.), as applicable.
- Demonstrated experience in customer relationship development and engagement.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and business case evaluation.
- Structured problem-solving capability and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead across matrixed organizations and senior stakeholder groups.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with both internal teams and external partners, including executive-level presentation capability.
The base pay range for this position is
$122,600.00 - 204,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible
for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. *The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
