Join our Team: Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Onsite
Moses Lake, Washington

As a Manufacturing Engineer Manager at Genie, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and leading the local Manufacturing Engineering team. This position combines project management, engineering expertise, and fostering a collaborative team environment to drive continuous improvements in our manufacturing processes.

What you'll do
  • Lead manufacturing engineering team responsible for developing manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling that maximize operational KPIs.
  • Lead maintenance and facilities teams to eliminate equipment downtime, maintain compliance, and drive facility improvements.
  • Drive and coach root cause problem solving across the full team.
  • Be responsible for multiple department budgets including labor.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, manufacturing floor presence, iterative design philosophy, and results focus.
  • Manage facility capital execution including timeline, budget, and results.
  • Stay informed of the best available technology solutions relevant to site manufacturing processes.
  • Review, plan, and execute a team member development program that supports individual growth and leads to overall team output improvement.
  • Be responsible for maintaining internal and external compliance for all manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Provide feedback to the design team to improve manufacturability of the product.
  • Be a contributing member of the facility leadership team creating long term strategy and standards for facility.


What you'll bring
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering (ABET certified): Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or Industrial is strongly preferred. Other degrees will be considered with appropriate experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of direct supervisor experience.
  • Experience driving improvement in team performance and operational results
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated teamwork.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Desire and potential for advancement.
  • Background in developing production processes: experience with machine tools, fixture design, manufacturing processes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation methods.
  • Ability to walk and stand continuously, bend, stoop, and kneel intermittently, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Currently living within 25 miles of Moses Lake, WA, or willing to relocate to the area.


Additional things that are great to have:
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCad or equivalent programs.
  • Hands on experience with CNC equipment such as Lathes and Mills (Programming, Optimizing, troubleshooting, etc.).
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert engineering principles into actionable project plans.


Salary: The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 annuallyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
