Full Job Description
The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity. This role drives projects, partners with cross-functional teams, and supports continuous improvement across operations, with a focus on optimizing existing plastic extrusion and packaging processes.

What you will be doing:
  • Manage and lead projects related to process improvement, cost reduction, and new product introductions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution within defined timelines and budget constraints
  • Work closely with product design teams to ensure that designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and align with production capabilities
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and process considerations
  • Lead the design and development of manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with production goals and quality standards
  • Implement improvements to existing processes, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and implement solutions to increase overall effectiveness
  • Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall operational efficiency
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to processes, equipment, and materials
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement measures that enhance product quality and reliability
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and systems
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices
  • Conduct cost analysis for manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Attend all required company training
  • Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values

Must have for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent/related
  • 5+ years related experience, or advanced degree
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process development, optimization, and project management.
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others


Nice to have:
  • Master's degree in manufacturing or mechanical a plus
  • Previous experience using additive manufacturing


Travel required: 10%, regional

For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $92,000 to $113,000, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
