About the Team

The Healthcare Value Management team helps Workday's customers measure, articulate, and maximize the business outcomes they achieve from their Workday investment. We partner with sales, solution consulting, services, and go-to-market strategy to grow our business, accelerate consumption, and bring fresh approaches to how customers think about value.

Our healthcare business keeps expanding, and the way we practice value management is evolving alongside it. The team is focused on redefining the VM role for the future—using AI and emerging tools to create new capacity for high-impact strategic consulting. What makes this team special is an incredible bench of talent, a direct connection to Workday's growth through consumption, and an appetite to solve meaningful challenges together.

About the Role

You will lead a team that is evolving the value management discipline in real time—moving beyond deal-specific business cases to become strategic partners who shape how customers plan for, measure, and maximize outcomes across the full lifecycle. This position reports to the Director of Value Management for North America.

Building a high-performing team

  • Lead experts in consulting, value engineering, and strategic selling, preparing them to operate as value partners across the customer lifecycle

  • Recruit, retain, and develop top talent, positioning them to take direct accountability for the regions they support

  • Coach individual contributors through shadowing, mentoring, and stretch opportunities that build new skills and advance career goals

  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture that draws on diverse backgrounds and experiences

Operating as a strategic business partner

  • Partner with the Group Vice President of Healthcare and other senior sales and extended team leaders to align value management efforts with business priorities

  • Evolve the engagement model toward full-lifecycle value orchestration—embedding value conversations into pipeline generation, sales execution, and post-sale outcomes

  • Deliver data-driven and qualitative analysis on VM impact to improve pipeline health and customer value realization

Shaping the future of Value Management

  • Champion AI, automation, and scalable frameworks to free up capacity for your team's highest-impact consulting work

  • Scale innovations from your team to other industries and the broader VM organization

  • Own cross-functional initiatives that support broader organizational objectives

  • Set team and practice-level goals and position Workday's Healthcare VM practice on the leading edge of value management in the industry

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
