What does a Sr. Manager, VAF Warehouse do at Swire Coca-Cola?
First of all, you get to assist in getting the beverages that people LOVE to the consumer! The VAF Warehouse Manager leads all aspects of the warehouse operations including budget, capital plan recommendation/ business case development, personnel, shipping, receiving, truck loading, ordering, facility and equipment maintenance, GMP, security and inventory control. This leader places safety as our number one priority along with customer service and fiscal control of operational expenses. This role also assists in the development of strategic business cases to support the continuous improvement journey. This is a key leadership role that is responsible for serving as a change agent to drive a high engagement, development and performance culture in one of our largest distribution facilities across Swire Coca-Cola, USA.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders in Production and Field Sales to ensure our customers and consumers receive our product on-time and as ordered.
  • Serve as a change agent to develop leadership talent and participate in organization structure design to facilitate the efficiency of teams and processes. Support, interview, hire, train/develop employees. Assign and direct work. Appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees according to the collective bargaining agreement. Address and resolve grievances. Foster employee morale. Drive change.
  • Strong people leader with high energy and confidence to assess, build and conduct operational turnaround to drive safety, high levels of engagement and improved productivity.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of safety following all company guidelines and in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Build consensus and engagement amongst internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure key business indicators are met in support of sales centers' objectives while managing operational expense effectively.
  • Foster and support lean systems/processes implementation to drive operational effectiveness through continuous improvement.
  • Execute timely against product supply plans to ensure Swire internal sales centers as well as NTS bottler customers are serviced on-time, in-full.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required or equivalent required
  • Experience working with none trade sales customers required
  • 10-12 years progressive experience in warehouse management required
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory practices and procedures
  • Understanding of safety procedures and OSHA requirements
  • Familiarity with plant equipment
  • Knowledge of SAP (CONA) computer system
  • General warehouse experience required
  • Inventory experience required
  • An understanding of transportation (long haul) dynamics
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean Logistics
  • Knowledge and experience working in a VAF Warehouse
  • Knowledge of ASN, RFI and Voice Pick
  • Ability to manage large departments with many functions
  • Knowledge of CONA, ASN, RFI and Voice Pick
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for facilities
