The Position

The Opportunity

Manages and leads the maintenance operations for the warehouse, overseeing a team of maintenance technicians across all three shifts and a maintenance planner. Responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of critical warehouse infrastructure, including conveyor and sortation systems, pallet and flow racking, voice picking headsets, and other technologies. Manages maintenance and repair budgets and maintains relationships with contracted maintenance services, such as material handling vehicle providers.  Works cross-functionally to achieve business objectives while maintaining regulatory and quality systems.

What You DO

  • Lead and develop a multi-shift team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence.

  • Oversee the maintenance planner to ensure effective scheduling of work tickets and preventative maintenance.

  • Provide hands-on technical expertise to troubleshoot complex equipment challenges and support team capability development.

  • Manage the facility’s maintenance and repair budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.  Ensure appropriate level of spare parts stock to balance equipment up-time with financial goals.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external maintenance contractors, ensuring service agreements for equipment like material handling vehicles are met.

  • Coordinate with site facilities maintenance teams on larger projects with impact across multiple departments or pieces of equipment

  • Develop and implement robust maintenance strategies that align with distribution operations efficiency and quality system requirements.

  • Develop maintenance support strategy for new distribution/fulfillment technologies and evaluate new technologies for maintenance considerations

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Materials) or closely related scientific/technical discipline.  

  • 5 years progressively responsible leadership experience in related industries.  

  • Strong knowledge of distribution approaches, principles and control systems.  

  • Knowledge of quality systems.  Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an analytical, collaborative approach to problem solving.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN Base Pay Range $118,500 - $220,100 Annual.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance, as well as participation in a long-term incentive program.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
