Full Job Description
This role is part of Alcon's Quality & Regulatory Affairs function, a team that ensures our products are in compliance with global, local, and internal regulations and meet the strictest standards of quality as we help people see brilliantly.

The Sr. Manager, Supplier Quality is primarily responsible for leading the supplier management program across Alcon's global network, focusing on evaluation, qualification, capability assessment, and performance monitoring. You will champion continuous improvement initiatives, ensure an uninterrupted supply of high-quality components, and develop strategies to mitigate manufacturing issues at our Facility in Lake Forest, CA., Fort Worth, TX or Johns Creek, GA Specifics Include:
  • Develop and execute strategies for pre-market supplier selection, evaluation and minimization of risk at time of transfer.
  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring goals are met through self-directed work and supervision.
  • Supervise supplier Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to mitigate root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Facilitate global supplier performance monitoring and report to senior and executive management.
  • Mentor supplier quality personnel to improve practices towards best-in-class performance.
    Lead cross-functional meetings related to global supplier performance monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Develop and improve procedures, policies, and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Monitor adherence to Alcon Quality System (QS) requirements and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform regulatory compliance assessments and audits of suppliers and contract manufacturers and lead and direct supplier audits globally.
  • Assist in developing and executing strategies for supplier selection, evaluation, and compliance.
  • Develop strong internal partnerships with Global Sourcing and Procurement, Regulatory, Operations, and Quality to drive continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Manage resources and schedules for supplier audits and quality initiatives.
  • Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining documentation, and completing required training.
  • Contribute to the overall compliance of the organization and commit to continuous improvement.
  • Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English U.S.
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
  • Location: Onsite
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
