Full Job Description
Responsible for playing a critical role in translating White Cap strategy into execution. Partners with senior leaders to operationalize strategic priorities, establish governance and routine, and drive alignment across functions. Leads the long-term success and growth of White Cap by ensuring strategic initiatives are clearly defined, resourced, tracked against set measurable outcomes.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
• Supports and partners with senior leaders to prepare and deliver White Cap's vision and strategy by developing supporting materials for board meetings and strategic management discussions.
• Provides regular, actionable performance reports to senior management to guide decision-making.
• Establishes measurement frameworks and scorecards aligned to strategic priorities and ensures strategy initiatives are aligned to financial measures and plans.
• Contributes to building and evolving the Strategy Management Office as a Center of Excellence for strategy execution; ensures internal practices are benchmarked and recommends enhancements.
• Conducts detailed market research to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities within the construction materials distribution sector.
• Leads the operational execution of White Cap's strategies into actionable initiatives, roadmaps, and milestones and also tracks progress and report on progress and outcomes.
• Identifies risk and dependencies across initiatives and recommends mitigation strategies.
• Designs and manages strategic governance forums, review processes, and decision-making cadences.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Solutions require analysis and investigation.
• Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
• Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
Work Environment
• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
• BS/BA, MBA or advanced degree preferred in a related discipline.
• 8+ years Consulting, Analytics, Strategy, Finance, Capital Markets, and/or business operations experience.
• 7+ years of experience in a management/supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning in evolving organizations.
• Proven ability to synthesize data and develop a compelling business case and recommendations to drive decision making across senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience working with all levels of associates within an organization and the ability to influence without authority.
• Program management experience supporting large-scale cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional leaders in a matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical a stakeholders.
• Strong problem structuring and analytical skills.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities, including experience preparing Board-level presentations.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
