Job Overview
The Sr Manager, Strategic Pursuits at T-Mobile leads the program responsible for identifying, shaping, and securing high-value deals across both Commercial and Public Sector portfolios. This role governs the prioritization, escalation, and investment decisions to ensure disciplined execution of strategic opportunities. By establishing a repeatable Strategic Pursuits lifecycle and leveraging centralized tools, data, and automation, the position drives scalable deal shaping and portfolio-level focus. The Sr Manager oversees a multidisciplinary team, setting clear performance standards and capacity models to maximize win strategies and pipeline quality. Through continuous tracking and reporting, this role enhances program transparency, ROI, and contributes directly to T-Mobile's growth and competitive advantage.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Leads the end-to-end Strategic Pursuits program to identify, shape, and secure high-value deals across Commercial and Public Sector portfolios.
  • Governs prioritization, escalation, and investment decisions to ensure disciplined execution of go/no-go choices for deal opportunities.
  • Establishes and maintains a repeatable Strategic Pursuits lifecycle by leveraging centralized tools, data, and automation for scalable deal shaping.
  • Oversees a multidisciplinary team by setting clear performance standards and capacity models to maximize win strategies and pipeline quality.
  • Drives portfolio-level focus by aligning deal shaping activities with organizational growth and competitive advantage objectives.
  • Enhances program transparency and return on investment through continuous tracking, reporting, and analysis of Strategic Pursuits outcomes.
  • Contributes directly to T-Mobile's growth by implementing effective strategies and monitoring pipeline quality to improve win rates.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Operations Management, or Related Field (Preferred)
  • Master's/Advanced Degree Business Administration, Strategy, or Related Field (Preferred)
  • 4-7 years Leading end-to-end strategic pursuit programs for high-value deals in commercial or public sector environments (Preferred)
  • 4-7 years Managing multidisciplinary teams to drive deal shaping, pipeline quality, and execution of win strategies (Preferred)
  • 4-7 years Implementing scalable processes and tools for deal prioritization, tracking, and reporting to enhance transparency and ROI (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification by PMI that validates advanced knowledge and skills in project management, essential for overseeing complex strategic pursuit programs. (Preferred)
  • Certified Capture Manager (CCM): Certification that demonstrates expertise in managing the strategic pursuit lifecycle and securing high-value deals, relevant for commercial and public sector portfolios. (Preferred)
  • Certified Proposal Professional (CPP): Certification from the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) that indicates proficiency in proposal management and deal shaping. (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $141,500 - $255,300

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
