Full Job Description
About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to partner closely with our go-to-market teams at a high growth pre-IPO startup, as part of Verkada's growing Strategic Finance & Business Operations team. You will play a critical role as an analytical thought partner to our Sales & Marketing leaders to drive topline planning and goal-setting, manage spend allocation decisions, deepen our understanding of ROI on our GTM investments, and drive strategic projects that move the needle on company growth.

In this role, you might:
  • Shepherd the planning and goal-setting process for bookings and pipeline (and forecast these metrics with increasing accuracy as we prepare to become public)
  • Drive weekly business reviews with the CRO and CFO
  • Generate insights around the performance of various business segments, acquisition channels, and GTM programs
  • Be the accountable owner for portions of our several hundred million dollar GTM budget
  • Partner on open-ended GTM strategy questions
  • Tackle critical change projects to enable us to operate at the next level of scale

We're looking for:
  • 6-8+ years of progressive high growth experience. You're coming to us from a Growth, Strategic Finance, Business Operations, Sales Operations, or other highly analytical role at a fast growing startup, and may have begun your career in investing, management consulting, and/or investment banking. Prior experience working on or closely partnering with Sales leaders or data-driven Growth teams is a plus.
  • High analytical horsepower paired with strong modeling and data skills. You can effortlessly translate business concepts and frameworks to well structured spreadsheet models, and have the analytical toolkit to autonomously generate insights through data. Fluency in database concepts, SQL, and the latest AI tools is a big plus... you use AI to supercharge (not substitute for) your strong technical capabilities!
  • Attention to detail and strong strategic instincts. You are meticulous in ensuring your and others' output is precise and error-free, but pair this with a strong sense for 80/20 to know when things "pass the smell test" and what is critical vs. secondary to an answer.
  • A growth mindset and comfort with ambiguity. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment that will require you to create structure out of ambiguity, manage often competing priorities, and pivot quickly when circumstances change.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills. You can effectively engage with a diverse array of stakeholders ranging from sales reps to engineers, and build the credibility, relationships, and buy-in necessary to strike the delicate balance between partnering and constructive challenging that this role requires.
  • A team player with a low "ego to smarts ratio". You bring a positive, learn-it-all (not know-it-all) energy to your teams, and are generally known for being great to work with. Life is short... we want to enjoy the time we spend with our colleagues!

  • Health Saving Account (HSA) with annual employer contributions and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) with tax saving options
  • Expanded mental health support
  • Paid parental leave policy & fertility benefits
  • Time off to relax and recharge through our paid holidays, firmwide extended holidays, flexible PTO and personal sick time
