Sr Manager, Segment Marketing - Nursing and Consumer ProductsIn this role, you will lead audience-focused marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and growth across AORN's membership, publications, events, and consumer product offerings. What You'll DoAs the strategic marketing leader for AORN's Nursing and Consumer Products portfolio, including Membership, Publications, EXPO attendance, event registration, and other consumer offerings, you will develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth. Working closely with leaders across the organization, you will leverage audience insights, segmentation, and data-driven marketing to deliver impactful campaigns, strengthen customer relationships, and support business objectives. In addition, you will lead and mentor marketing team members while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize performance, identify growth opportunities, and advance AORN's mission through compelling customer experiences.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead the segment marketing strategy for AORN's Nursing and Consumer Products portfolio, including Membership, EXPO, publications, and other B2C offerings.
- Develop audience segmentation, personas, messaging, and value propositions that drive engagement, lead generation, and revenue growth.
- Translate market, member, and customer insights into effective go-to-market strategies and customer experiences.
- Plan and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns that support acquisition, retention, renewal, and re-engagement objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to align marketing initiatives, product positioning, and growth strategies with organizational goals.
- Leverage data, analytics, and market intelligence to evaluate performance, optimize campaigns, and identify new opportunities.
- Oversee the development and quality of marketing assets, content, sales enablement materials, and customer-facing communications.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, providing strategic recommendations to drive business results.
- Lead, develop, and mentor marketing team members while managing priorities, resources, and project delivery.
- Foster strong partnerships across Membership, Education, Events, Sales, Advocacy, and other teams to advance AORN's mission.
What You'll BringMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, healthcare administration or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive marketing experience with responsibility for product marketing, segment marketing, audience marketing, or go-to-market strategy.
- Minimum of 5 years of B2C product marketing experience driving customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
- Demonstrated experience developing customer segmentation, positioning, messaging, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience marketing products or services within healthcare (medical, hospitals, or related healthcare industries), with a strong preference for engagement of nursing or other clinical professional audiences.
- Experience working for a membership association with responsibility for membership growth, product marketing, or revenue generation.
- Experience in an agency setting, internal or external.
- Market sales/strategy experience.
- Experience with best practices for digital and traditional channels.
- Proficiency with marketing technology (CMS, CRM, marketing automation, paid media, social, analytics).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES- Deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and healthcare buyer dynamics.
- Exceptional communication skills including writing, presenting, reporting; ability to translate complex clinical/operational concepts into clear, compelling value.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across levels and functions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities with on-time delivery.
