Senior Manager, Audit & Assurance

We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Manager, for our Audit & Assurance team to lead assurance engagements, develop client relationships, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to our professional teams.

The Senior Manager or Manager provides high-level assurance and advisory leadership with significant autonomy. This role manages and reviews audit, review, and compilation engagements; oversees engagement teams; and serves as a trusted advisor to clients across a variety of industries, including Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Employee Benefit Plans, Not-for-Profit organizations, and privately held businesses. The Senior Manager/Manager will also contribute to business development, client relationship management, staff development, and the continued growth of the firm.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality and compliance with applicable GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS, SSARS, and firm standards.
  • Direct assurance engagements for HUD, Employee Benefit Plans, and Not-for-Profit organizations, as well as privately held businesses.
  • Review workpapers, financial statements, reports, and other engagement deliverables prepared by staff and senior associates, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships and understanding their business and service needs.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and contribute to business development, proposals, and community engagement.
  • Stay current on changes in accounting, auditing, and regulatory standards and communicate relevant updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate audit staff and senior associates while supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with tax and advisory professionals to deliver integrated solutions and a high level of client service.
  • Oversee compliance with firm quality control policies and professional standards across all assigned engagements.
  • Manage multiple engagements, priorities, and client relationships while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; a Master's degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.
  • Active CPA license.
  • At least five years of public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance services.
  • At least five years of experience with HUD, Employee Benefit Plan, and Not-for-Profit audits.
  • Prior supervisory or managerial experience within a public accounting firm, with demonstrated success managing multiple engagements and client relationships.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS, and SSARS.
  • Proficiency with audit software such as CaseWare and ProSystem fx Engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to build trusted client relationships, provide effective leadership, and work collaboratively across teams.


Physical Requirements

This position primarily involves sedentary office work. Occasional travel to client sites may be required. The position may require sitting or standing for extended periods, working at a computer, communicating in person and by phone, and working extended hours during peak periods.
