Job Description:We are seeking an experienced
Senior Manager, Sales & Commercial to lead strategic customer engagement, commercial growth, and go-to-market execution across our expanding portfolio of solar solutions. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, building long-term customer relationships, developing commercial strategies, and helping scale one of the industry's most innovative renewable energy platforms.
The ideal candidate is a strategic sales leader with deep renewable energy experience, exceptional commercial acumen, and a proven ability to build lasting partnerships while leading complex, multi-million-dollar sales opportunities from pursuit through execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sales Leadership- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion.
- Own and grow strategic customer relationships, managing the complete sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract execution and long-term account expansion.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles by developing competitive strategies that consistently deliver winning outcomes.
- Structure, negotiate, and close sophisticated commercial agreements that align customer objectives with Nextpower's integrated solutions.
Account Management & Business Development- Develop comprehensive account plans that identify growth opportunities and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.
- Conduct executive-level business reviews and serve as a trusted advisor on market trends, commercial opportunities, and project risks.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and CRM data to support strategic planning and business visibility.
- Lead pricing strategy, commercial positioning, and proposal development in collaboration with executive leadership.
Commercial Strategy & Business Scaling- Lead commercial execution for Nextpower's portfolio of solar solutions, including trackers, foundations, inverters, eBOS, engineering support, procurement coordination, logistics, and design services.
- Develop pricing strategies, business cases, revenue forecasts, margin improvement plans, and executive reporting.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators including pipeline growth, bookings, revenue, margins, project conversion rates, quote cycle time, customer adoption, and reference project performance.
- Help build scalable commercial processes and repeatable sales methodologies that support long-term organizational growth.
Cross-Functional Leadership- Partner closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Management, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Project Delivery teams to develop competitive commercial solutions.
- Coordinate commercial commitments with supplier capacity, inventory strategies, procurement planning, logistics, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure organizational readiness by aligning resources, customer commitments, contracting requirements, and execution priorities.
- Collaborate across the organization to support new product launches and strategic growth initiatives.
Partner & Supplier Engagement- Strengthen strategic supplier and channel partnerships that improve delivery certainty, cost competitiveness, and customer value.
- Work with internal stakeholders to maximize commercial leverage through supplier relationships and procurement strategies.
Team Leadership- Lead, mentor, and develop Sales Analysts, Sales Associates, and future commercial team members.
- Foster a high-performing, customer-focused sales culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
- 10 to 12+ years of experience in complex B2B sales, renewable energy, solar, power infrastructure, EPC services, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success leading strategic customer relationships and closing high-value commercial agreements.
- Experience building or scaling a sales organization, business unit, commercial platform, or new market offering.
- Strong understanding of solar project development, EPC execution, equipment procurement, project finance, and customer buying processes.
- Experience selling integrated, engineered, or bundled infrastructure solutions.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to travel approximately 35%, or as business needs require.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related considerations. The annual target total cash compensation for this position is $220,000-$260,000, which includes base salary and target commission. Actual compensation may vary based on sales target achievements. This role is also eligible for equity as part of the total compensation package.
