Full Job Description
JOB TITLE: Sr. Manager, Production Control Room

REPORTING TO: Director, Match Presentation

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

LOCATION: New York, NY

POSITION OVERVIEW:

New York City FC is looking for a Sr. Manager, Production Control Room to organize and lead in managing content for the LED displays at Etihad Park, to maintain and troubleshoot the content management systems in the production control room, and to assist in booking matchday operators.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Lead in creating, managing, loading, and testing all content for Etihad Park LED displays for New York City FC home games and non-football events
  • Specifically in 2026 & Early 2027: Liaise with host venue crews (Yankee Stadium & Citi Field) to format New York City FC show within baseball stadiums
  • Load, build, and manage playlists for "The Cube", the marquee seven-story LED structure at the main entrance of Etihad Park
  • Build and script elements for gameday operators in Ross Xpression and Dashboard
  • Build effects and assign routes in Ross Carbonite switcher
  • Liaise with Partnerships dept. on specs and deliverables for sponsor-created content
  • Liaise with Show Producers on scripting ROS elements, transitions, maintaining club branding banks, and content archival
  • Liaise with NYCFC Content Producers to format club short-form & long-form content to fit within the in-stadium experience
  • Manage scheduling operators and overseeing control room for all football and non-football events
  • Troubleshoot and maintain content management systems in production control room
  • Work with Technology Team on other control room projects and maintenance, as assigned
  • Other basic video production and office management-related tasks, as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • 4-8 years' experience working in a video production facility or television control room, preferably for live event production
  • Proficient with content management systems, specifically Ross Xpression
  • Strong knowledge of technical video elements including codecs, specs, aspect ratios, frame rates and pixel counts
  • Working Knowledge of Ross Carbonite switcher
  • Working Knowledge of Ross Ultrix Routers
  • Working Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently
  • Knowledge of Major League Soccer and New York City FC required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Fast-paced, sports stadium environment
  • Flexible work schedule and ability to work long and non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary


COMPENSATION:

This exempt position has an estimated annual base salary range of $75,000 - $95,000 and is not overtime eligible. Final compensation offer amounts are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise. We welcome direct conversations with each candidate about compensation in all of our initial calls.
