Description POSITION DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Senior Manager, Product Management & Business Architecture,
to lead a portfolio of business and technology products while managing a team of Product Managers. This role combines strategic product leadership, business architecture, and people management to drive business transformation and scalable platform solutions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced product leader with a strong track record of delivering complex products, influencing stakeholders, and developing high-performing teams. This role owns product strategy, portfolio prioritization, roadmap execution, and team development across multiple business domains. This position reports to the Director of Business Architecture and or other senior management personnel that the President of the Company may designate.
This position will be based out of San Francisco or Santa Clara office, with 20% of travel as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Product & Portfolio Leadership - Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a portfolio of products and initiatives aligned to company objectives.
- Lead product development for major initiatives from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization.
- Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, and scalable platform capabilities.
- Oversee UAT, documentation, and change management activities to support successful adoption
- Partner with business leaders to understand goals, challenges, and process improvement opportunities.
- Define priorities and make tradeoff decisions that balance business value, customer needs, and technical constraints.
- Working with business leads to establishing KPIs and governance processes to measure portfolio performance and business outcomes.
- Partner with engineering, operational, and business leaders to align product investments with strategic priorities.
People Leadership - Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Architects/Product Managers.
- Conduct performance management, career development, and succession planning activities.
- Drive consistency in product management processes, business practices, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support hiring and team-building efforts while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Guide planning, roadmap management, and product delivery.
- Remove roadblocks, manage risks, and ensure successful execution across the portfolio.
- Promote data-driven decision making through product and operational metrics.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 6-8 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
- 2+ years of direct people management experience leading Product Managers, Product Owners, or similar roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of products, programs, or strategic initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level influence.
- Experience developing product roadmaps, business cases, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of product development methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience in solar, renewable energy, fintech, or related industries.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience leading multiple Product Managers in a matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with residential solar platforms and economics.
- Product and/or business specialization, e.g., Agile or Product certifications (CSM, CSPO, etc.), MBA, or others.
- AI fluency with experience delivering material business impact
- Experience supporting digital transformation and enterprise platform initiatives.
- Experience working with global teams.
COMPENSATION: In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the anticipated annual base salary for this position is:
- Zone 1 (Bay Area, NYC): $184,900 - $208,100
- Zone 2 (CA, NJ, NY): $169,500 - $190,700
- Zone 3 (All others): $154,100 - $173,400
The applicable salary range is based on the employee's primary work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other business-related factors.
