Full Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside directors and managers to provide project management services supporting various short- and long-term projects throughout the company.
  • Oversee a portfolio of projects, with a diverse blend of objectives and outcomes.
  • Update and track overall portfolio on status, budget, and risks, providing reports and visibility into project performance and highlighting areas that require attention.
  • Lead larger proposals and ensure the successful delivery of projects while adhering to overall mission and objectives of the company.
  • Guide teams to develop and gain approval of project plans, which outline the objectives of the project, scope of work, and project elements, including: schedule, project deliverables, funding limitations, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
  • Assist VP - Project Management in driving strategic initiatives within the PMO organization, focusing on process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Mentor and develop project management staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Review change readiness and make recommendations for organization change management actions to increase readiness and adoption of technologies deployed
  • Interface with project owners and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks across the project portfolio.
  • Carryout guidelines for project standardization, design and methodologies.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of business operations and models as well as the critical business issues and requirements.
  • Actively research and employ new, innovative ways to identify opportunities and introduce project management tools and practices into existing processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: A Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in project and/or portfolio management is required. Previous experience in the beauty/personal care/CPG industry is preferred. Additional skills and abilities include:

  • Demonstrable leadership of project and program management function; proactive, integrated project execution, with processes, metrics, controls, and governance for results-oriented application development that delivers business value.
  • Exceptional proficiency in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet) and MS Office Suite.
  • A team player who works well with distributed, multi-cultural, multi-language teams
  • Customer focused; meets internal and external customer expectations, delivers upon commitments; builds customer confidence; gains their trust and respect; builds relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, time and project management skills.
  • Leadership in all aspects of team resources from hiring, evaluation, assignment, direction, management, mentorship, training and career development.
  • Exposure and familiarity with industry is preferred.


Work Environment: The work is typically indoors in an office environment but may also work in the field with outside sales and/or a warehouse environment.

Work Hours: The work schedule is 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. Initial start time may vary, with work hours typically from 8am-5pm. Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs. The position resides in Orange County but may be hybrid with 2 days being remote work.

Physical and Mental Demands: Sedentary, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, or negligible amounts of force frequently, to move objects. This job also requires constant sitting. Constant use of the upper extremities is required to reach, handle, and position tools and equipment. The employee must know and follow proper safety protocols and maintain a professional and polished appearance and be able to efficiently use Microsoft Office Programs and other systems at a highly advanced level. The employee must also be able to maintain and preserve confidentiality of company information, exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders including international affiliates.
