The Opportunity The Sr. Manager of People Data Science will lead and develop the data science function within the Employee Experience team. This role will report to the Head of People Analytics and will lead a team of data scientists to derive insights and recommendations that inform strategic people-related decisions.
What you'll Do Technical & Strategic Leadership- Set the technical vision and quality bar for advanced analytics and AI across People Analytics
- Guide the team's methodological standards for data analysis, AI usage, and predictive modeling
- Scale insights through automation, tooling, and reusable frameworks
Advanced Analytics / Data Science- Build predictive models to forecast workforce outcomes and inform people decisions
- Lead complex analytical deep dives that inform talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness decisions
- Automate insight extraction and recurring analyses (e.g., via Python or R)
Influence & Communication- Partner with HR and business leaders to connect insights to goals and strategies
- Communicate recommendations to executives in ways that drive action
- Translate complexity into clarity for non-analytical partners
People Leadership & Capability Building- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of data scientists, building capability in statistical methods and partner influence
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and practical impact
What You Need to Succeed- 8+ years in applied data science (ideally People Analytics), with 3-5+ years in a leadership role
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R for querying, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling
- Experience with people data (survey, HRIS, behavioral) in an applied setting
- Expert knowledge of advanced statistical methods (e.g., causal inference, predictive modeling, HLM, network analysis, text/NLP, ML)
- Skill in influencing senior leaders through clear communication of complex insights
- Track record of establishing methodological standards or technical governance
- Ability to collaborate across functions and levels
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Commitment to ethical use of employee data, privacy, fairness, and responsible AI
Expected Pay Range:Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $161,700 -- $303,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $209,400 - $303,300In Washington, the pay range for this position is $197,100 - $285,450
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
