Position Summary:
This roleis responsibleforinternal and externalcommunicationsfor McKessonsNorth AmericanPharmaceutical Services (NAPS)Oncology &Multispecialtybusinesses.Theidealcandidatehas aproventrack recordof achievement in a highly matrixed organization andexcelsat building andinfluencingstrong crossfunctional relationships. This role also requires the ability toleverageAI-powered tools and workflows to enhance employee experience, accelerate execution, and deliver impactful messaging aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute public relations strategiesand planssupporting key business priorities, while advancingthe broaderOncology &Multispecialty vision and the McKessonenterprise vision, including the use of AI-driven insights to refine message positioning and strengthen storytelling.
Collaborate closely with functions such as marketing, public affairs, legal,and others to shape and optimize plans and execution.
Inclusive of speaking opportunities, bylines, social media, newsletters, website content, etc.
Conduct proactive and responsive media relations, including relationship management with key beat reporters and use of AI tools tomonitorsentiment, trends, andtimelyopportunities.
Collaborate with Corporate Affairs colleagues to strengthen functional capabilities, including identifying opportunities to automate routine tasks, design AI workflows, and deploy Copilot agents that enhance productivity and scale communications processes.
Expertise/Capabilities should include:
Demonstrated excellence in organizational communications, media relations, change communications, issues management, as well asdata and milestone communications, with the ability to use AI-enhanced tools to elevate precision,clarityand impact,includingproficiencywith AI-powered drafting and contentdevelopment platforms(Microsoft Copilot).
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Education/Training-
4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, English, or relevant field
