Position Title: Sr. Manager of Strategic Sales Analytics

Reports To: Vice-President of Sales

Job Level: Management

Employment Status: Regular, Full-Time

FLSA Category: Salaried, Exempt

Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000

Location: Perris, CA (Company is willing to consider a Hybrid role for this position)

Key Responsibilities
  • Own pricing strategy analysis across product lines, including price elasticity, promotional lift, and margin trade-offs
  • Build and maintain sales performance analytics and reporting for leadership and the sales team
  • Lead demand forecasting and account-level sales planning in partnership with sales and operations
  • Benchmark cannabis pricing and promotional practices against more established categories like CPG, beverage, and alcohol, and translate what works into pricing recommendations for Claybourne
  • Partner directly with sales leadership on pricing strategy for new account pitches and existing account retention
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that give sales and leadership self-serve visibility into pricing and performance
  • Present analysis and recommendations to senior leadership, translating data into clear, actionable calls

Qualifications & Experience

Cannabis pricing and analytics practices are still catching up to more established categories, so candidates with deep CPG, beverage, or alcohol experience are just as strong a fit as those coming from cannabis itself.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in strategic analytics, pricing, or revenue management
  • Experience in cannabis, CPG, beverage, or alcohol data analytics focused on sales and pricing - CPG, beverage, or alcohol backgrounds are especially valuable
  • Strong command of Claude, SQL, Excel and Snowflake, plus hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI
  • Track record of turning pricing and sales data into recommendations that leadership and sales teams actually acted on
  • Comfortable partnering directly with sales leadership and presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field required; equivalent experience considered
  • Clear, concise communicator who can translate complex analysis for a non-technical audience

What Success Looks Like
  • Within 90 days, has a working pricing and sales analytics model covering Claybourne's active accounts and pipeline
  • Within 90 days, has replaced ad hoc reporting with a standing dashboard that leadership and sales trust and use regularly (utilizing existing database)
  • Within 6 months, is the go-to partner for sales leadership on pricing & promotion strategy for new account pitches and existing account offensive/defensive play
