Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement for IT is responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide sourcing and category management strategies across software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, telecommunications, cybersecurity, hardware, managed services, and IT professional services. This individual serves as a trusted advisor to IT leadership and drives measurable value through supplier management, strategic sourcing, contract optimization, risk mitigation, and governance. DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop multi-year category strategies aligned with technology roadmaps and business objectives.
• Lead complex RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Negotiate SaaS, software licensing, cloud, telecom, managed services, professional services, and technology agreements.
• Drive annual savings, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, and total cost of ownership improvements.
• Conduct spend analytics, benchmarking, market intelligence, and opportunity assessments.
• Establish supplier governance programs, executive business reviews, scorecards, and KPI reporting.
• Partner with Cybersecurity, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and IT teams on third-party risk management.
• Lead procurement transformation initiatives and process improvements across source-to-pay activities.
• Mentor procurement professionals and lead cross-functional project teams.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent communication skills to interface and influence stakeholders (both internal and external) of all levels and build trust.
• Deep understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, contracts, and supplier risk/relationship management practices.
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments to ensure timely performance and completion.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.  
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in evaluating supplier terms, benchmarking data and identifying opportunities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Proficient in procurement and e-signature software.
• Expertise negotiating enterprise technology contracts and managing strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong financial acumen, analytical capabilities, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across complex organizations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, Technology Management, or related field. MBA and/or professional certifications (CPSM, CPP, CPSD) preferred.
• Minimum of 6+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management experience with significant IT category ownership.
• Experience in SAP Ariba strongly preferred
