A professional services organization is seeking a Senior Payroll Systems Manager to oversee payroll operations, reporting, and HRIS/payroll system functionality across a multi-state environment.
This role will focus on payroll process improvement, systems optimization, automation, reporting accuracy, and compliance. The position will partner closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to streamline payroll workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage payroll systems, integrations, and reporting functionality
- Improve payroll workflows, controls, and automation processes
- Support payroll reconciliations, audits, and year-end reporting
- Partner with cross-functional teams on system enhancements and issue resolution
- Ensure payroll compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, reimbursements, overtime, and payroll adjustments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of payroll operations and systems experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll reporting, controls, and HRIS/payroll platforms
- Experience with payroll process improvements and systems implementations
Preferred
- Experience within professional services or corporate environments
- Exposure to enterprise payroll and HRIS platforms
Compensation: $175,000-190,000Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
