Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Execution & Network Transitions, is responsible for leading the operational execution of strategic logistics network transformations across the enterprise. This role serves as the primary leader for physical network transitions, including 3PL implementations, warehouse consolidations, site relocations, distribution network redesigns, real estate transitions, and supply chain integration activities.
Working across Supply Chain, Distribution, Transportation, Procurement, Real Estate, PMO, and Business Unit leadership, this position ensures operational feasibility, site readiness, and successful transition execution while minimizing disruption to service, safety, and customer commitments. The Senior Manager drives cross-functional collaboration, operational governance, and institutional knowledge development to support ongoing network optimization, M&A integration efforts, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Transition Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of logistics network transitions, including 3PL launches, warehouse consolidations, facility relocations, space reallocations, and distribution network redesigns.
- Coordinate site cutovers, implementation activities, go/no-go reviews, and post-transition stabilization efforts.
- Ensure all operational, labor, facility, equipment, and transportation requirements are identified and addressed prior to implementation.
- Drive execution excellence across all network transition initiatives while maintaining service continuity.
Operational Readiness & Site Validation
- Conduct comprehensive site readiness assessments for facilities undergoing transition.
- Validate warehouse layouts, space utilization, dock flow, staging capacity, labor requirements, material handling equipment (MHE), and safety compliance.
- Assess operational feasibility and provide readiness recommendations for executive decision-making.
- Identify operational constraints and develop mitigation strategies to reduce implementation risk.
Cross-Functional Integration & Collaboration
- Coordinate integration activities across Supply Chain, Transportation, Distribution Operations, Procurement, Real Estate, Finance, and Business Units.
- Serve as a central point of coordination between operational stakeholders and project governance teams.
- Partner with PMO leadership to ensure alignment between project plans and operational execution requirements.
- Support broker evaluations, facility assessments, and vendor selection activities from an operational perspective.
Strategic Network Transformation
- Support enterprise network optimization initiatives and long-range supply chain transformation strategies.
- Drive implementation of network solutions that improve service, capacity utilization, operational efficiency, and scalability.
- Participate in M&A integration planning and execution activities.
- Develop and maintain transition playbooks, best practices, and operational standards to support future network changes.
Program Governance & Performance Management
- Track and report progress of strategic initiatives, transition milestones, and operational readiness metrics.
- Maintain visibility into contract obligations, service level requirements, and execution dependencies.
- Ensure workflow compliance and timely delivery of analytics and operational support.
- Document lessons learned and institutional knowledge to improve future transition execution.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Identify operational, safety, labor, and capacity risks associated with network transitions.
- Escalate critical risks and decision points through established governance channels.
- Develop contingency plans to ensure successful transition outcomes.
- Lead post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required
- 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, network transitions, or project management.
- Proven experience leading complex logistics implementations, warehouse transitions, or distribution network changes.
- Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet and project management tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience supporting M&A integration activities.
- Knowledge of SAP and Blue Yonder applications.
- Experience with Tableau and business intelligence reporting tools.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and contract operations.

Organizational Impact:
The Senior Manager, Execution & Network Transitions ensures that complex logistics network changes are operationally viable, safely executed, and effectively coordinated across the enterprise. This role serves as the bridge between strategic network design and successful field execution, delivering predictable transition outcomes while enabling long-term supply chain transformation, network optimization, and business growth.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $150k-$160k + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
