The Sr. Manager, Equity Compensation will own the global administration of RBI's employee equity programs - the grant, vesting, tax, and reporting processes that deliver a meaningful portion of total direct compensation to executives and employees across RBI's global brands. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of People, Payroll, Finance, and Legal, with significant exposure to the operational backbone of how RBI rewards its talent.
Equity Compensation sits within the Total Rewards function and is responsible for RBI's:
- Equity Plan Administration: End-to-end administration of RBI's global equity plans, including grant processing, vesting events, and stock option exercises in the equity platform.
- Tax & Withholding: Validation of multi-jurisdictional tax withholdings and partnership with Payroll to ensure accurate, timely settlement of taxes on equity transactions.
- ESPP & Dividends: Administration of the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and reconciliation of quarterly dividends.
- Reporting, Audit & Governance: Data integrity, quarterly audits, and the preparation of information for People, Finance, and Legal teams to support compliance and disclosure.

Sr. Manager, Equity Compensation - reports to the
Sr. Director, Global Compensation and is a critical member of the Company's employee equity and tax planning process, working closely with the People (HR), Payroll, and Accounting teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness across all deliverables.
The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic working environment, brings strong attention to detail and confidentiality, and has a passion for undertaking process improvement projects that scale equity administration as the function evolves.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record administering equity programs for both US and Canada, experience partnering across People, Payroll, Finance, and Legal stakeholders, and a demonstrated ability to build and improve processes.
In your first 12 months, you'll take full ownership of the annual grant and vesting cycles, partner with Payroll to close multi-jurisdiction tax settlements cleanly, and deliver at least one process-improvement project that reduces manual effort in equity administration.
ResponsibilitiesEquity Plan Administration- Prepare and load annual grant files in the equity platform, map grant award agreements, and reconcile employee reports post-load.
- Process award vesting and dividend payouts, along with quarterly audit in the equity platform.
- Partner with the ESPP vendor to process employee contributions on a bi-weekly basis.
Tax, Payroll & Data Management- Validate multi-jurisdictional tax withholdings for large employee vesting events and stock option exercises.
- Work closely with the Payroll team to ensure timely payment of taxes related to equity transactions.
- Update employee information in systems and maintain ongoing data accuracy.
Audit, Reporting & Compliance- Assist with quarterly audits and data verification processes for all equity compensation plans to ensure information is accurate and properly maintained.
- Prepare and provide relevant information to other People (HR) groups, Finance, and Legal teams.
Communication, Training & Process Improvement- Oversee communication with employees on equity administration processes.
- Run training sessions for employees on the administration system as needed.
- Manage and maintain documentation of all processes related to equity administration, and identify and drive process improvement projects.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in equity compensation administration, including multi-jurisdiction (US and Canada) programs - US equities experience a must.
- High level of proficiency with Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Familiarity with equity administration platforms (e.g., Shareworks/Solium, Fidelity, E*TRADE/Morgan Stanley at Work).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive compensation and personal data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include:
- Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation, or progress towards certification, is an asset.
- Experience administering global equity plans (RSUs, PSUs, stock options, ESPP) across multiple jurisdictions.
- Hands-on experience administering on Shareworks/Solium.
- Experience with Workday, and familiarity with AI and automation tools (Power Automate, ChatGPT/Claude agents/assistants).
SalaryTotal target compensation combines a competitive base, an annual bonus, and long-term equity, putting total cash well above base alone. Base salary range of C$140,000-160,000, plus an annual bonus target of 30% of base salary. Compensation for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills.
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants pursuant to the Company's long-term incentive plan.
