Position summary - The Senior Manager, LATAM/CANADA Commercial Education Deployment — Wound Closure / Biosurgery is a strategic-operational leader responsible for executing the LATAM & CANADA rollout of global commercial education programs for the Wound Closure and Biosurgery platform. This role translates regional strategy into deliverable plans, leads tactical deployment across prioritized markets, and ensures field readiness through localized curriculum, trainer networks, certification events and launch support. The Senior Manager works with global/regional/local Education Leaders, Curriculum Design & Content Strategy, Sales Leadership, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy into Execution
Translate the region and market learning roadmaps for Wound Closure and Biosurgery into detailed market-level deployment plans, timelines and resource needs.
Prioritize deployments by market impact, launch schedule and readiness metrics in coordination with leadership.
Contribute to global/regional strategy by providing market intelligence, capability gaps and recommendations for scalable learning approaches. Serve as the connective layer between global education strategy and priority market needs, ensuring consistency with platform brand direction and local market context.
Program Deployment & Localization
Localize global Wound Closure and Biosurgery curricula for priority markets (language, clinical practice, regulatory constraints) working closely with content design and clinical validation partners.
Lead preparation and execution of blended delivery modalities: field-based courses, training center programs, simulation/wet labs, virtual modules and certification events.
Ensure instructional fidelity for hands-on labs, case-based learning and scenario-based assessments.
Trainer Network & Facilitation
Build and sustain a certified trainer network with documented coverage targets for priority markets.
Lead train-the-trainer programs and maintain facilitator quality standards across markets; provide coaching and QA for in-market trainers and external faculty.
Serve as a senior facilitator/subject matter expert for high-priority events (e.g., flagship certification programs, key launch training).
Launch Readiness & Field Enablement
Own tactical learning deliverables for Wound Closure and Biosurgery product launches in LATAM and Canada: timelines, trainer deployment, materials distribution and targeted certification goals.
Coordinate with regional sales enablement and supply chain to ensure on-time logistics and field support.
Integrate learning milestones into regional launch plans and escalate readiness risks to leadership.
Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the education liaison for Wound Closure and Biosurgery to Regional Leadership.
Align stakeholders on objectives, secure sponsorship and negotiate regional resource commitments.
Partner closely with leadership to ensure education messaging and market execution are aligned with brand strategy and priority market tactics.
Engage Regional Leadership wherever necessary to ensure market-level sponsorship and resourcing.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Define and track program KPIs for deployments (customer satisfaction, time-to-certification, certification rates, competency scores, adoption metrics) and report progress to stakeholders
Use learner feedback and performance data to iterate on content, delivery cadence and resource allocation.
Operational Leadership & Budget Support
Manage deployment budgets at the program level; work with leadership to optimize spend through digital scale, vendor management and shared services.
Oversee third-party vendor selection and performance for training delivery where applicable.
People & Matrix Collaboration
Coach and develop high-performing cross-market educator capabilities; document role accountability and success profiles.
Provide day-to-day direction and mentorship to regional learning leads; coordinate assignments, quality standards and cross-market consistency.
Support capability building for in-market trainers and regional learning staff.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all commercial education activities comply with local regulations and Company Health Care Compliance policies; maintain audit-ready records and documentation.
Work with Medical Affairs and Regulatory to validate training content and disclosures.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (Business, Education, Clinical, or related).
6–8+ years progressive experience in healthcare/medical device commercial education, sales enablement or professional education with demonstrated execution responsibility; multi-country experience strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with curriculum localization, simulation/wet-lab delivery, train-the-trainer models and launch readiness.
Familiarity with learning technologies (LMS/LXP, virtual classroom platforms, assessment tools) and use of learning analytics.
Experience working with hospital systems, OR teams and clinical stakeholders; experience with Wound Closure and Biosurgery products is strongly preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Strong operational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple market rollouts concurrently.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills for commercial audiences.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix organization
Data-informed mindset; experience defining KPIs and using analytics to guide decisions.
Comfortable with frequent travel across the Americas and working across time zones.
Fluency in English required; additional language(s) advantageous.
Deep understanding of Wound Closure and Biosurgery clinical context and procedural workflows preferred; demonstrated ability to adapt global strategy to local execution.
