Full Job Description
Job Description

The Commercial Digitization Team requires a new team member to lead all aspects of RBC Edge reporting, usage, and tracking towards our Commercial Digital OKRs. To date, we have not required a person to do this, however, coming out of the TA portion of Emerald, we find ourselves scaling the product to our Commercial client base and having to build reports off rudimentary datasets whereas we envision a need to have much deeper analysis done on the service to support road mapping, planning and future state enhancements.

What will you do?
  • Work closely with Commercial Digitization Product Owners & Strategists, and Digital Analytics to create reporting, insights and analytics to support launch and growth of new and existing products to our Commercial client base and beyond.
  • Evaluate and define costs vs. benefits of new growth opportunities
  • Coordinating financial information from numerous sources and combining them into unified, coherent reports.
  • Researching and providing information on financial results for specified products either industry-wide or internally.
  • Assisting in developing financial models and analysis tools, and approaches for internal use of product profitability evaluation.
  • Designing financial reports to present information in the most useful manner for different analytical needs.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Strategy, or a related field (Master's degree strongly preferred) with 5+ years of related work experience in data and analytics preferably in financial services firm (Commercial Banking or Wealth Management)
  • Understanding of Objective and Key Results (OKR) building relative to products and services offered and business' strategic mission.
  • A high degree of competency communicating the data story (written/oral)
  • Assisting with OKR creation, measurement and communication. Ability to create KPIs based on OKRs
  • Driving data gap analysis and data structure conversations during new feature/service creation with Product Owners/Business Owners to help build the stories we need to drive the business
  • Experience building queries with multiple databases/sets across RBC infrastructure (ESS, Data Lake, Redis, XLS)
  • Strong experience with Google Analytics suite and GA tagging concepts and best practices for implementation.
  • Tableau dashboard creation/communication
  • Experience in working with diverse teams and partners and leading data conversations

Nice to Have:
  • Awareness of Digital products and services.

What's in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.
  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
  • A world-class training program in financial services
