Full Job Description
  • Manage internal and external testing efforts (e.g., structures, systems, components, subcomponents) during Lucid's product development process.
  • Lead a high voltage (HV) mechanical engineering testing team responsible for the design, validation, and integration of HV batteries, inverters, Wunderbox, and other HV system components.
  • Coordinate and lead an internal team to ensure systems meet Lucid's safety and durability standards, including when those systems are subject to electrical, mechanical, thermal, and/or other environmental stresses.
  • Drive Lucid's creation and completion of design verification plans and reports (DVP&Rs), including during the product development cycle and while meeting product release timelines.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to capture all of Lucid's testing needs.
  • Effectively assign projects and responsibilities to team members and ensure the timely execution of project tasks.
  • Provide direction and technical guidance to Lucid's testing team, as well as institute effective testing strategies to ensure a timely delivery of project results.
  • Grow Lucid's testing team in order to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Develop strategic and effective testing timelines for Lucid's new product launches.
  • Drive the development of Lucid's testing facility by taking the lead during the specification and justification of new testing equipment (as needed).

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$214,100-$313,940 USD

Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
