What is the opportunity?

RBC Direct Investing is RBC's online retail brokerage offering industry-leading tools and research to help clients pick the right investments, place trades with confidence and track how they are doing. As Sr. Manager, Analytics and AI Enablement, you will shape the future of data-driven decision making and AI capabilities at Direct Investing. This role combines strategic analytical leadership with hands-on execution, delivering the analytics that power business growth and deploying practical AI tools across the team. You will lead cross-functional initiatives to develop transparent views into how the business functions, highlight opportunities for improvement, and enable AI-powered capabilities that enhance client experiences and business outcomes.

What will you do?
  • Lead Analytics and AI enablement: Drive and develop talent through initiatives supporting strategic business initiatives and monthly business reviews, and serve as the AI champion to democratize data-driven analytics across the department
  • Unlock the power of our people: Focus on agile structure and documentation to establish self-serve capability for RBC Direct Investing team members by leveraging AI, while focusing on complex queries and strategic enablement efforts
  • Contribute to Enterprise Data and AI efforts: Apply a strategic lens in aligning to Direct Investing business goals as well as contributing as a thought leader to broader data and AI community efforts, partnering with other Data Teams to drive success and build future-ready talent and technology
  • Deploy practical AI tools: Champion AI adoption across Direct Investing by identifying use cases, deploying hands-on AI solutions, and enabling team members to leverage AI capabilities in their day-to-day work
  • Collaborate with Peers and Partners: Act as a trusted advisor to the Direct Investing team, translating data and AI capabilities into understandable insights and actionable recommendations
  • Transform data into strategic insights for decision making, by both participating in and driving programs from initiation to completion to ensure actionable insights are implemented
  • Report regularly to senior management on analytics outcomes, AI enablement progress, and key opportunities


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • Undergraduate degree in data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, business, finance or economics
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, analytics, databases/datasets, business, consulting, or finance, preferably in Financial Services
  • Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies, machine learning, Python, Tableau, SQL, Jupyter, GitHub
  • Excellent problem solving, business casing, communication, storytelling, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Demonstrated partnering abilities
  • Exhibits sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • A critical thinking, analytical mindset with a data-led approach to decision making
  • Deep curiosity about data, AI applications, processes, and client behaviour
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI tools and championing AI adoption


Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of Direct Investing and wealth management products and services
  • Experience in the securities industry, particularly at a self-directed brokerage
  • Experience with applied statistics - such as distribution analysis and statistical significance
