What you'll do

  • Define the strategy that makes the AAdvantage® program rewarding for members, including direct and indirect design of the core program, enrollments, status levels, benefits, rewards, promotions, mileage accrual, and redemptions.
  • Promote and champion a customer-centric view across the company through the lens of the AAdvantage® program to drive customer loyalty and preference for American Airlines.
  • Lead data-driven initiatives that provide an industry-leading loyalty program that engages and stretches members into deeper relationships with American Airlines.
  • Collaborate with groups across the company, including Cobrand, Global Engagement, Analytics, Customer Experience, Revenue Management, IT and Delivery, Sales, Legal, and operational teams to ensure the AAdvantage® program is communicated appropriately to customers and team members across all touchpoints.
  • Partner with IT, Delivery, and data teams to develop the optimal member strategy, both for the annual program and ad hoc initiatives.
  • Track key customer segments and KPIs to improve both long-term and short-term revenue performance of the loyalty program.
  • Evaluate and pursue external partnership opportunities to enhance the customer experience within the loyalty program.
  • Develop detailed analyses, proposals, and presentations that will be shared with and presented to senior leadership.
  • Represent the AAdvantage® program to internal and external stakeholders and at all levels of leadership within the company.


All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training
  • 7 years related work experience
  • Experience in managing a team of data analysts with advanced quantitative skills
  • Experience in customer strategy, customer data analysis, data-driven marketing, customer relationship management, or a similar field


Skills, Licenses & Certifications
  • Ability to synthesize vast amounts of seemingly disparate data and translate into actionable insights
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise findings to a variety of audiences, including senior management, by integrating data from different sources
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple groups which have differing priorities
  • Understanding of customer data and customer interactions specific to the airline as well as customer behavior and customer experience management practices that are applicable to all industries
  • Ability to coach data analysts to improve their use of customer data and analytical techniques
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong commitment to delivering high quality
