Full Job Description
Essential Job Functions: Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinates and manages equipment master data and the work order system.
  • Organizes all equipment technical information for ease of accessibility in the CMMS, and for data protection in the archival system (PDM Vault).
  • Create and maintain Equipment Parts Lists (EPL) for all equipment.
  • Collaborate with Reliability Engineering on the development of operating context specific PM's & PdM's.
  • Convert Work Requests to Work Orders, Create Work Orders and assure WO coding is accurate and the status is up-to-date.
  • Identify all WO's requiring short and long duration downtime.
  • Manage the work order backlog to assure work progresses through the planning process in a timely manner, and in accordance with the PM system master schedule.
  • Work Planning.
  • Develop a sequenced set of work instructions for all WO's where Planning can add value.
  • Lists all required permits and identify any special safety work instructions.
  • Identify all required parts, supplies, tools, and equipment, and provide specifications to assist purchasing in meeting expectations.
  • Maintain from 3 to 5 weeks of ready backlog.
  • Manage the WO feedback process to drive job plan continuous improvement in safety instructions, work instructions, and other identified maintenance resources required to execute the job.
  • Generate any follow-up work orders identified in the WO feedback process including: condition based WO's, and other related observations from the technicians in the field.
  • Resource Management.
  • Monitor, justify, and categorize maintenance stores inventory to assure parts remain consistent with equipment modifications. Submit Add-To-Inventory forms as necessary.
  • Facilitate ease of part identification by creating accurate Equipment Parts Lists (EPL's) for all equipment, and remove any obsolete parts from both the EPL and the MRO Warehouse.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse to kit and stage identified parts and supplies.
  • Requisition parts, supplies, and equipment to assure availability coincide with work schedules.
  • Assist in the expedition of critical parts for planned work, and at critical times to support breakdown activities.
  • Provide notification to supervision when repairable parts must be tagged and returned to the warehouse.
  • Insures proper accounts are identified on all WO's.
  • Develop and maintain weekly, shutdown, and long-range schedules.
  • Assure that weekly schedules comply with the PM and PdM master schedule.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with production schedules to assure that equipment health and capacity safely supports long term production requirements.
  • Conducts related planning meetings.
  • Complete / Close work orders and capture pertinent information as needed.
  • Turnaround Scheduling/Critical Path Management.
  • Manage the short and long duration downtime ready backlog for the respective area of responsibility.
  • Assure that all downtime required WO's are fully planned and coordinated in preparation for turnaround events.
  • Generate capital requests for downtime related WO's.
  • Identify all resources required for effective turnaround execution.
  • Provide turnaround cost management including estimate vs. actual comparison.
  • Organize all turnaround work in a Gantt Chart format outlining the work critical path and resource allocation requirements.
  • Evaluate turnaround schedule duration to optimize downtime vs. resource costs decision making.
  • Long Range Planning.
  • Manage the Major Maintenance Forecast to outline equipment repair intervals, and identify future MOB capital requirements.
  • Develop the scope of work for capital repairs and submit Capital Authorization Requests (CAR's) in a timely manner.
  • Make recommendations to project engineering for capital modifications.
  • Assists maintenance management in developing and monitoring the expense budget.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
