About the Role

Join UCLA Health's Ambulatory Float Team as a Sr. Licensed Vocational Nurse and support patients across 25+ specialties, including Primary Care, Pediatrics, specialty, and surgical practices. You'll provide patient care and clinical support across multiple ambulatory clinics while gaining experience with diverse patient populations and care teams throughout UCLA Health's ambulatory network.

Travel Requirements

Travel to all UCLA Health Ambulatory Community Clinics throughout Southern California is required, and you must be physically present at assigned worksites. Assignment locations are based on operational needs and are subject to change.

Although travel to all UCLA Health community practices is required, current staffing needs are primarily located in the Northeast Valley region, including:
  • Van Nuys
  • Valencia
  • Woodland Hills
  • North Hollywood
  • Encino
  • Porter Ranch
  • Santa Clarita

Salary Range: $38.54 Hourly - $50.84 Hourly

Required:
  • Ability to be highly flexible, travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health community based practices and work a variable schedule
  • Possession of active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal
  • Possession of active BLS/CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience performing phlebotomy, injections, CPR, and other skills within scope of practice
  • Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills
  • Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers.
  • Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and procedure


Highly desired:
  • Minimum of six months of experience working as an LVN in an outpatient ambulatory clinic or a similar healthcare setting.


As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
