Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

A Logistics Sr. Analyst leverages analytical methods, data, and business systems to evaluate, improve, and optimize Logistics operations and processes. This role is responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets, monitoring operational performance, identifying trends and issues, and developing actionable recommendations that support business objectives and drive cost savings.

The Sr. Analyst works with minimal supervision, independently prioritizing and executing assignments while supporting multiple large-scale initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating daily project activities, developing and maintaining project and organizational scorecards, evaluating performance against business cases, forecasting operational needs, and identifying process improvement opportunities. This role also performs analysis to support business and system enhancements and communicates findings and recommendations to leadership.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple levels and functions within the Logistics organization. The role may also provide guidance and mentorship to Logistics Analysts and manage key vendor and business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 25% Utilizes quantitative skills to create and analyze reports to support business execution. Supports the business through ad-hoc queries, and maintains reports from a variety of resources as specific to department or organizational needs
  • 25% Develops business tools and solutions based on knowledge, product or technology. Identifies Logistics process improvement opportunities through strategic thinking, critical thinking and analysis
  • 20% Provides recommendations to senior management. Mentors and guides Logistics Analysts
  • 20% Performs data management through data mining/data modeling/data analysis/cost/benefit analysis/process mapping/%/or problem analysis while executing day to day processes related to area of responsibility. Develops & maintains cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models. Supports business through ad-hoc queries & maintains reports
  • 10% Manages vendor/business partner relationships

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
  • Experience with MXLoader.
  • Experience with MRO spare parts inventory management.
  • Experience supporting warehouse, fulfillment center, distribution center, manufacturing, or maintenance environments.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Cognos, or other reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of inventory optimization, cycle counting, and master data governance.

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
