Job Description

The IT Product Manager leverages an agile process and mindset to deliver business value for our stakeholders. Works with customer stakeholders to understand their needs, define a program vision and roadmap of features. Assists the customer stakeholders in building good business cases for feature requests so that the IT Governance Committee can appropriately prioritize.

Responsibilities

The IT Product Manager (Product Manager) responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Defines Program vision, user personas and roadmap (contribute to longer term - 2 -5 year - product roadmap
  • Understands the budget parameters, strategic themes to guide/manage their strategic direction of the solution
  • Understands customer needs, defines Features, determines success criteria (performance measurement), and validate solutions
  • Assess the business impact of different solutions, and the tradeoffs between business/customer needs, technology requirements and costs
  • Translates Epics into Features, manages and prioritizes the flow of work through Program Kanban and prioritizes Program backlog
  • Facilitates process mapping, gap analysis, and data flow to help assess business implications of feature, tool, or platform.
  • Possess in depth knowledge of the relationship between business processes and the product supported
  • Analyzes and communicates success, performance, time to market, quality, partner health and team engagement metrics to stakeholders
  • Partners with Architects to conduct Technology Assessments
  • Analyzes the customer needs, understands the team's work and plan for capacity/priority in program backlog.
  • Assists with business case development and budget/cost estimations with customer stakeholders
  • The Product Manager reports to the Vice President Information Technology This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field, in lieu of Bachelor's Degree, 4 years of work experience in information systems or a related field.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, presentation and leadership capabilities
  • 5 years of Agile experience is strongly preferred
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with the business case development preferred
  • In applicable work group: Licensed candidates must possess and maintain active licensure in accordance with Oklahoma State law
