Senior IT Project Manager The Program and Project Management job organizes, plans and controls resources and processes to achieve project/program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints. Under limited supervision, this job utilizes general knowledge of the project/business requirements to manage small to moderate sized projects for the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Organizes project teams by assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements necessary to ensure project is successful.
- Drafts the estimates of costs, resources, and time required to complete each phase of a project and allocates resources and tasks to ensure these targets are met.
- Implements an established project plan and monitors progress and performance against this plan.
- Provides updates to management regarding the status of projects including cost, timing and staffing.
- Resolves obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
- Conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
- Works with outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
Minimum Qualifications- 3 years of experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives
- Prior experience managing infrastructure projects
Preferred Qualifications- 5 or more years of experience in enterprise project management
- Knowledge and experience with cloud solutions - Azure preferred
- Advanced understanding of iterative project methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, etc.
- PMP certification
Educational Requirements- University (Degree) Preferred
