BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:The District Attorney's Office seeks a Senior Investigative Analyst to advance the mission of the DA's Office. A Senior Investigative Analyst performs a variety of semi-complex and complex investigations of felony and misdemeanor crimes for the Office of the District Attorney. The Senior Investigative Analyst focuses on case review for enhancement, evidence synthesis, and victim / witness coordination. The Senior Investigative Analyst is a civilian, non-sworn role, and is not an enforcement capacity. The Senior Investigative Analyst would focus on assisting the Investigations Unit as well as the attorneys at the 17th Judicial District with bringing the best case forward in court through analytical and interpersonal excellence.
Examples of Duties for Success- A Senior Investigative Analyst must possess extensive investigative competence, skills and abilities to provide advanced, high-level investigation into already filed criminal cases, enhancing and strengthening these cases for prosecution.
- A Senior Investigative Analyst must have comprehensive experience authoring search warrants, production of records requests, and other affidavits associated with investigations.
- A Senior Investigative Analyst must have the experience and ability to find the gaps in an investigation and author theappropriate court documents to enhance said investigation where others might fall short.
- A Senior Investigative Analyst must have the skillset to author the appropriate high level, organized, reports detailing the information obtained during investigative steps in a timely manner.
- A Senior Investigative Analyst must have a strong work ethic and a track record of handling a high volume of labor-intensive cases in a competent and professional manner.
- A Senior Investigative Analyst must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, attorneys, witnesses, and victims. This also extends to relationships with law enforcement agencies, patrol officers, supervisors, detectives, and command staff.
- A Senior Investigative Analyst must have the experience and skill set to serve as a liaison between the 17th Judicial District Investigations Unit and a law enforcement agency where they might be lacking the resources or experience to conduct a detailed, quality, thorough investigation.
- The Senior Investigative Analyst would provide guidance on tactics, techniques, and analysis that would strengthen the investigation and allow the best prosecution outcome.
- A Senior Investigative Analyst must be able to create and conduct presentations for various senior level executives and command staff outlining the progress and information gathered in investigations.
- A Senior Investigative Analyst must have a demonstrated level of knowledge, competence, and work product that speaks to their ability to perform at a high level and manage complex investigations.
- A Senior Investigative Analyst must have demonstrated commitment to victims of crime and a track record of supporting victims with empathy and integrity.

Qualifications for Success Physical requirements and work environment: - Work is generally confined to an office environment. Certain aspects of investigations may subject Investigative Unit employees to extended working hours.
- The Senior Investigative Analyst may be "on call" and subject to responding to situations at any hour.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:- Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License,
- Ability to read, write and/or speak Spanish is desirable.
