Sr. Industrial Engineer - Logistics Siemens is seeking a highly driven
Sr Industrial Engineer to support the launch and growth of our manufacturing facility in
Alliance, Texas. This role will serve as a key contributor in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes, layouts, material flow, daily management systems, and continuous improvement programs from the ground up. The ideal candidate will combine strong industrial engineering fundamentals with deep operational excellence expertise and serve as a subject matter expert in breaker manufacturing.
Ryou will make an impact by: - Plant Layout, Material Flow & Logistics System Design: Design and optimize factory layouts, warehouse layouts, supermarkets, storage strategies, material flow routes, and point-of-use inventory systems to support safe, efficient, and scalable breaker manufacturing operations
- Logistics Engineering & Warehouse Excellence: Develop and implement best-in-class warehouse operations, inventory management processes, replenishment systems, pull systems, and internal logistics strategies to ensure reliable material availability and efficient product flow throughout the facility.
- Breaker Manufacturing & Manufacturing Readiness: Support development of breaker manufacturing processes, labor standards, workstation designs, and operational best practices while ensuring manufacturing readiness for production ramp-up and future growth.
- Cost Reduction & Material Flow Optimization: Drive cost reduction initiatives through logistics optimization, inventory reduction, labor efficiency improvements, warehouse productivity enhancements, and waste elimination across the value stream.
- Productivity, Capacity & Throughput Improvement: Develop scalable production and logistics systems that improve material availability, labor utilization, equipment productivity, throughput, and capacity while supporting future expansion requirements.
- Lean Project Leadership: Lead Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, 5S deployment, material flow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and productivity.
- Daily Management Systems (DMS) & Operational Excellence: Implement and sustain Daily Management Systems (OpsEdge), KPI management, visual controls, accountability processes, and operational excellence standards across warehouse, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
- Safety & Ergonomics: Design safe and ergonomic material handling systems, warehouse operations, workstations, and manufacturing processes that reduce risk, improve efficiency, and comply with Siemens safety standards.
- Data Analytics & Digital Manufacturing: Develop dashboards, inventory management tools, labor models, warehouse productivity metrics, capacity models, and performance reporting systems that enable data-driven decision making and support digital manufacturing initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and EHS teams to successfully launch, stabilize, and scale manufacturing and logistics operations.
- Training & Culture Development: Coach employees and leaders on Lean principles, warehouse excellence, material flow methodology, standard work, Daily Management Systems, and continuous improvement while building a culture of operational excellence and accountability.
You will win us over with the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, logistics engineering, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
- Experience designing or improving material flow, warehouse operations, inventory management, or manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into operational improvements.
- Experience conducting time studies, capacity analysis, labor planning, and process optimization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup or expansion environment with evolving priorities.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in engineering or a related field
- Breaker manufacturing or electrical products manufacturing experience.
- Greenfield/start-up manufacturing experience.
- Experience implementing Daily Management Systems and Lean Operating Systems.
- Experience with pull systems, supermarkets, Kanban, point-of-use inventory, and Lean material flow concepts.
- Experience with SAP, MES, Power BI, and digital manufacturing tools.
- Simulation software experience (AUTOCAD, Visio, FlexSim, Simio, Arena, etc.).

The pay range for this position is $82,538 - $141,494 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
