Full Job Description

The Job At-A-Glance:

Q2 is seeking a Senior Implementation Engineer to join our Risk & Fraud Management Service Delivery team, responsible for delivering complex financial institution transformation initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, core conversions, and platform migrations. This role is critical to ensuring Q2's solutions are accurately designed, configured, and implemented to support seamless client transitions during high-impact events.

In this role, you will work with highly configurable, multi-platform solutions that require strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and adaptability. As Q2 continues to expand the use of automation and AI-enabled capabilities across our products and implementation processes, you will leverage emerging technologies to improve delivery efficiency, enhance client outcomes, and support scalable implementation practices. You will also play a key role during conversion events, which may include weekend go-lives — executing runbooks, validating configurations, troubleshooting issues, and providing production support through project completion.

A Typical Day:

  • Partner with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and direct the configuration duties
  • Develop and perform quality assurance check points within your team to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Problem-solve routine to complex issues
  • Create and implement tools that increase quality, security and productivity
  • Track status and provide updates in relation to overall implementation process
  • Execute and validate database merges, deconversions, and data migrations aligned to merger and conversion timelines
  • Author and maintain runbooks used during conversion events
