Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our HR Transformation team at Mercer. This role will support and lead client delivery across a range of HR transformation priorities, including HR operating model and service delivery design, HR organizational and process redesign, HR technology, talent and performance processes, and broader people strategy initiatives.

This is a client-facing consulting role focused on delivery excellence, problem solving, and trusted advisor support for clients. The position is intended for a consultant with the ability to independently lead meaningful portions of work, manage day-to-day project execution, and contribute to high-quality client outcomes.

We will count on you to:
  • Support and lead the delivery of client engagements focused on HR transformation, including HR function design, service delivery improvement, process redesign, and people program effectiveness.
  • Advise business leaders and HR stakeholders on HR programs, talent practices, and HR organization design to better align people strategy with business priorities.
  • Conduct current-state assessments, stakeholder interviews, workshop sessions, and analysis to identify organizational and HR process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop clear, actionable recommendations related to HR operating model design, HR organizational structure, governance, process improvement, and employee-facing HR practices.
  • Lead / co-lead internal and client meetings, manage project workflows, and coordinate deliverables across workstreams and stakeholders, using strong project and stakeholder management skills to keep teams aligned and engagements on track.
  • Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to determine project direction, support hypotheses, and identify implications for clients.
  • Create high-quality client materials, including presentations, reports, summary exhibits, and recommendations for senior leadership audiences.
  • Contribute to engagements related to talent acquisition, performance management, promotion processes, HR technology/vendor selection, and HR organizational review.
  • Collaborate across lines of business and with cross-functional colleagues to support integrated client solutions where appropriate.
  • Help coach junior team members by providing guidance on analysis, work planning, and deliverable development.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge building, tools, methodology enhancement, and select proposal support, as needed, including the use of AI-enabled tools to support research, analysis, content development, and day-to-day project execution.

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in consulting, HR transformation, HR strategy, organizational effectiveness, or a related people consulting environment
  • Experience supporting and/or leading projects involving HR transformation, HR process redesign, organizational design, HR service delivery, HR technology/vendor management, talent processes, or performance management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize findings into clear and practical recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create polished client-ready presentations and reports
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, client-service environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, project leads, and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail

What makes you stand out:
  • Experience leading workstreams or day-to-day delivery for HR transformation engagements
  • Experience with HR operating model design, HR organizational review, process redesign, talent acquisition transformation, performance management redesign, and promotion process improvement
  • Awareness of technology used to power HR -- whether HCM or point solutions
  • Ability to connect business strategy to HR program and operating model decisions
  • Experience structuring executive-ready materials that translate data and analysis into compelling observations and recommendations
  • Comfort facilitating client discussions, working sessions, and stakeholder interviews
  • Experience mentoring more junior consultants and helping elevate team delivery quality
  • Exposure to broader HR transformation topics such as governance, service delivery, employee experience, change adoption, or HR technology enablement
  • Experience building AI agents, GPTs, or similar tools to improve team efficiency, knowledge sharing, or client delivery

Why join our team:
  • Work with a high-performing team focused on helping clients solve complex workforce and HR challenges
  • Partner with colleagues across Mercer and Marsh McLennan to deliver meaningful, enterprise-level impact for clients
  • Be part of a collaborative environment that values intellectual curiosity, thoughtful problem solving, and quality client service
  • Grow your career through challenging work, supportive leadership, and ongoing development opportunities
  • Join a company committed to inclusion, flexibility, and helping colleagues thrive in their work and career
