About the Opportunity

The Senior HR Generalist leads employee relations and benefits administration while providing comprehensive HR support across the organization. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, ensuring consistent policy application, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational goals in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position reports to the HR Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Employee Relations (Primary Focus)
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations matters including investigations, performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and terminations.
  • Conduct thorough, unbiased workplace investigations and document findings.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee performance, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment law compliance.
  • Partner with leadership to foster a culture of trust, accountability, and engagement.
  • Identify trends in employee relations issues and recommend proactive solutions.

Benefits Administration
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
  • Administer health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs.
  • Coordinate open enrollment, benefits communications, and employee education.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Partner with brokers and vendors to resolve escalated issues.
  • Audit benefit enrollments and deductions for accuracy.

HR Operations & Compliance
  • Maintain and optimize HRIS processes (Dayforce experience preferred).
  • Support payroll, onboarding, offboarding, and employee data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Assist with policy development and updates.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs.
  • Strong documentation and case management skills.
  • Excellent communication, discretion, and judgment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Experience with Dayforce HRIS.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations.
