Job Description

This full-time position is a hybrid role that requires working in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1200 Binz St Suite 1490 Houston TX 77004. Mon, Wed, and Fri are typically work from home but may be in office on occasion.

Provides day-to-day Human Resources support to assigned Care Centers across the employee lifecycle. The role serves as a front-line resource for policy interpretation, onboarding and offboarding, HRIS/data administration, benefits support, leaves of absence, employee documentation, reporting, engagement programs, and routine performance-management guidance. This position supports multiple Care Centers and facilities and requires strong critical-thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage day-to-day HR needs and competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide responsive day-to-day HR support to Care Center leaders and employees regarding established policies, procedures, benefits, attendance, PTO, and routine HR processes.
  • Interpret and explain established HR policies and procedures; identify exceptions, employee complaints, compliance concerns, and higher-risk matters requiring Director-level review.
  • Performance & Coaching Support: Assist managers with routine performance coaching, attendance tracking, performance documentation, and established corrective-action processes.
  • Receive employee concerns professionally, document relevant information, and promptly escalate complaints involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, ethics, significant misconduct, workplace violence, or other sensitive employee relations matters to the HR Director.
  • Provide policy interpretation and routine employee relations support.
  • Coordinate onboarding, employee changes, transfers, and approved offboarding/termination processes; conduct exit interviews and identify relevant trends for HR leadership.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS and employee records, process authorized transactions, conduct data audits, and compile routine and ad hoc HR reports.
  • Benefits Support: Act as a primary local contact for benefits administration; assist with Open Enrollment meetings, employee education, leaves of absence administration, and broker/vendor coordination across regional Care Centers.
  • Respond to routine employee benefit questions and escalate complex eligibility, plan interpretation, compliance, or exception matters as appropriate.
  • Coordinate health fairs, wellness programs, employee engagement activities, recognition efforts, and other Care Center HR events.
  • Administer established HR plans, programs, and procedures and recommend process improvements that strengthen consistency, efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
  • Support HR projects, acquisitions, integrations, audits, system implementations, and other initiatives as assigned; serve as a front-line liaison with vendors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and process weekly, monthly, and ad hoc HR reports for the HR Director, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Support multiple Care Centers and facilities while utilizing critical thinking and sound judgment to prioritize competing business needs, resolve routine HR matters, and appropriately escalate concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and business information.
  • Travel to Care Centers as needed to support employees, leaders, HR programs, and operational needs.
  • Maintain an in-person work schedule a minimum of two days per week on days established by the HR Director, with additional onsite presence or Care Center travel as business needs require.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting benefits administration across multiple business units, locations, or employee populations preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple Care Centers, healthcare facilities, medical practices, or locations simultaneously is required.
  • Experience with onboarding/offboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, leaves of absence, employee documentation, reporting, and performance-management support.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, with the judgment necessary to recognize and appropriately escalate employee relations and compliance risks.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills when managing day-to-day HR functions in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple Care Centers, stakeholders, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, data accuracy, customer service, confidentiality, and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience with HR and recruiting technology; ADP, SmartRecruiters, and Employee Navigator experience is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Care Centers as business needs require.

The salary range for this role is $83,000.00-$87,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and other wellness programs). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15%. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
