Sr. HR Generalist at our Kent Dry Mix Plant. This role will provide HR consultative, project-based, and hands-on support to employees and managers. In addition, they will provide expertise and support to the team on key HR initiatives and projects related to process improvement and overall HR best practices. Working closely with the Plant HR Manager and Corporate HR team, they will ensure that HR services support a productive, effective, and engaged workforce that contributes to the success of the plant and the organization. Areas of expertise include employee relations, recruitment, leave administration, onboarding, performance management, among others.
Essential Functions:- Serve as a trusted advisor to the business; proactively meet and engage with all levels and departments of the business.
- Proactively review and analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Manage workers' compensation and other leave claims, escalating to the HR Manager as appropriate.
- Identify legal requirements related to all aspects of employment and ensure policies and procedures are in compliance.
- Conduct investigations and manage employee relations, in coordination with the HR Manager.
- Lead talent acquisition strategy/full cycle recruiting; from posting jobs, coordinating interviews, preparing, and making offers, facilitating negotiations, deploying pre-employment contingencies, and scheduling on-site onboarding.
- Conduct new employee onboarding, including system tasks, benefit, and new hire orientations to ensure a positive new hire experience.
- Partner with HR Manager on new benefit programs; arrange and conduct employee presentations including open enrollment, new hire orientation.
- Support guidance and execution of the performance management process.
- Streamline offboarding process and conduct exit interviews.
- Support the training needs of the department and company.
- Oversee the testing and implementation of system upgrades and enhancements as required.
- Maintain employee records, including personnel files, training, and safety records.
- Manage employee recognition programs, education reimbursement program, and employee events, as assigned (e.g., blood drives, flu shots, gift cards, biometrics, etc.).
- Provide both strategic and tactical day-to-day guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees (coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions).

Education and/or Experience:- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience/training.
- Five or more years of experience in Human Resources; Plant HR experience a plus.
- Expert level of experience with both an HRIS and ATS is desired.
- PHR or SHRM certification a plus.
Schedule: This role will need to work a core 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
onsite schedule with the proven flexibility to occasionally adjust schedule (including late nights/graveyard hours) to provide HR support and meet our 24/7 operational demands.

Salary Information: An employee in this position can expect a salary range between $90,931 and $135,183. We typically pay out between $90,931 and $100,000. The actual salary offered will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including internal equity, experience, education, certification, training, and location. All positions are eligible for additional incentives based on business performance.
Physical Demands & Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone along with reaching. Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work. Moderate noise, ability to work in a confined area, and ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time are also included. Ability to effectively communicate and work in a dynamic environment.
