Full Job Description
As Senior HR Business Manager, you will provide strategic guidance on organizational priorities and people solutions that accelerate business performance and effectiveness. You will lead a team of five HR Business Partners supporting lumber manufacturing facilities across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. This is a home based position with up to 50% travel. You must be within driving distance of one of the lumber mills you will be supporting. This role reports to the Senior HR Director, Lumber.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of five HR Business Partners.
  • Serve as a strategic HR partner and trusted advisor to business leaders.
  • Develop people strategies that strengthen engagement, workforce capability, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead key HR initiatives, including talent and performance management, succession planning, recruiting, employee development, change management, compensation planning, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Use data and analytics to inform decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner across HR to deliver practical solutions that meet business needs.
  • Support compliance with company policies, safety standards, employment laws, and requirements affecting unionized workplaces.


Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Experience supporting multiple locations and personnel over a diverse, multi-state or provincial region is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, required.
  • Strong leadership, business partnership, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, multi-site environment and balance strategic priorities with execution.
  • UKG and Power BI experience are a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Must reside within driving distance of a supported mill
*Gulf South Lumber Mill Locations: Bruce, MS, Holden, LA, McComb, MS, Millport, AL, Philadelphia, MS

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $131,000-$196,700 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 20% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
