About the role
As the Sr. FP&A Manager, you will drive global excellence in product costing, inventory management, and material variance analysis across three commercial manufacturing sites. This role plays a critical part in strengthening Carrier’s cost competitiveness—delivering deep product cost insights, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), and enabling fact‑based operational and strategic decisions through strong financial controls and cross‑functional partnership.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sr. FP&A Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
• Leading the annual standard cost rollup across three commercial factories, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with corporate guidelines
• Analyzing product cost structures—labor, overhead, and materials—to support pricing, margin improvement, and operational decisions
• Serving as the cost accounting lead for NPI programs, delivering cost estimates, cost‑builds, and financial risk assessments throughout the product lifecycle
• Overseeing inventory accounting, balance sheet controls, and material variance analysis while ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
• Partnering cross‑functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, FP&A, and factory leadership to drive cost transparency, productivity, and continuous improvement

As a minimum you must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance, preferably in a global or multi‑site environment
• Strong expertise in standard costing, inventory accounting, and material variance analysis
• Experience supporting NPI, engineering changes, and cross‑functional manufacturing initiatives
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel/analytics tools
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
• CPA, CMA, or MBA
• Experience driving process standardization, automation, or digital finance tools
• Background partnering closely with Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain teams
