Job Summary

Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is looking for an experienced finance leader to join our FP&A team as the Senior Manager of Finance for GTM. This role will serve as the financial architect for our Sales organizations. You will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and analysis for these functions, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership. You will drive financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes while helping shape strategic decisions to optimize business performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Your Impact:
  • Serve as the GTM finance partner to the Business Unit leadership team, providing financial leadership and strategic decision support across new customer acquisition, renewals, expansion, customer retention, and overall revenue growth
  • Own the GTM operating and financial model, including bookings, revenue, ARR, renewals, expansion, churn, headcount, and commission expense, to enable accurate planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis
  • Develop analytical frameworks and lead analysis to evaluate GTM investments and performance, including sales productivity, pipeline conversion, customer acquisition cost (CAC), retention and expansion economics, and commission effectiveness
  • Establish scalable processes to proactively collect, validate, and analyze business performance data, while driving automation, standardization, and continuous improvement
  • Define, track, and report key GTM financial and operational performance metrics, translating data into insights and recommendations for business leaders


Qualifications

Required Experience
  • 6+ years of experience across strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or growth-stage tech startups, preferably with time spent partnering with or analyzing GTM organizations
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, GTM strategies, and customer acquisition, retention and expansion economics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for executive decision-making
  • Bachelors in an analytical field (e.g. Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field); advanced degree/MBA preferred


Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of subscription-based and consumption-based pricing strategies
  • Experience supporting GTM teams in a high-growth SaaS or technology company
  • Experience with planning, ERP, and business intelligence platforms such as SAP, Netsuite, SAP SAC, Tableau, Pigment and other BI tools
  • An AI-first builder mentality: you reach for automation before manual work; you want to land in the cohort of finance professionals who define what the function looks like five years from now
  • "Systems-level thinker"


Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
