POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for starting to handle complex tasks, often involving strategic analysis and a broader scope of responsibilities. This role requires 4+ years of experience and involves detailed financial analysis, advising analysts, building models, and strategic planning. The position aims to develop moderate to high levels of business acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. This role serves as a trusted finance business partner to senior leadership, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and providing the objective challenge needed to drive sound business decisions.

In addition to core responsibilities, this role is expected to operate as a modern professional - leveraging data, technology, and AI to transform processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will drive automation, enhance data quality, and lead process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability across workstreams, both individually and for the broader team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.


  • Advise and mentor junior analysts, providing guidance and support.


  • Build and maintain complex financial models to forecast and analyze financial performance.


  • Participate in strategic planning activities, offering insights and recommendations.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed analysis and insights.


  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.


  • Constructively challenge assumptions, business cases, and investment proposals brought forward by senior leaders


  • Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies (e.g., Copilot, automation platforms, and data analytics solutions) to streamline workflows - driving greater accuracy and efficiency.


  • Identify and champion opportunities to transform processes by evaluating current workflows, recommending automation or AI-driven solutions, and leading implementation efforts that reduce manual effort and improve turnaround times.


  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies and digital tools relevant to the finance landscape, proactively bringing forward ideas to modernize processes and enhance the team's capabilities.
