Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a high performing Senior Financial Analyst to join the Sales Channels Finance team within the Consumer Wireless Finance Operations department. This exciting position is a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will leverage a sound understanding of finance and accounting process, financial modeling, and strong communication skills (verbal & written) in order to work with the business in providing key strategic decision support, prioritizing business activities, and establishing improved controls and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a high potential individual to gain insight and exposure to a breadth of financial competencies within an industry leading company, while directly supporting the operational and strategic decision making of the Sales Channels team. What you'll do: • Support the Manager with reporting packages, budget preparations / presentations, ad hoc analyses, and projects & presentations • Review monthly results vs. budget and forecast, and provide key variance analysis • Work closely with the sales support team to help drive the financial plan within different channels of the business • Provide key analytical support to draw conclusions and drive strategic decisions within the business, including maintaining and development of key performance indicators • Identify risks and opportunities and incorporate into plans & forecasts • Prepare monthly financial reporting and analyses to support operational review • Ensure compliance for corporate finance with all Rogers financial policies and SOX • Assist the external auditors with their quarterly reviews and year-end audits, as necessary • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as required • Act as a liaison with Rogers finance groups including audit, controllers group, planning, treasury and taxation to ensure deliverables are met in accordance with Rogers planning requirements What you'll have: • University degree in business with a concentration in finance, accounting, or economics • Completion or in the process of completing an accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA) • Expert Excel and Powerpoint skills with the ability to build and modify reports with a focus on value creation • Ability to analyze business processes and make improvements • Very strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills • Experience dealing with senior leadership and executive leadership team members is an asset • Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously under short timelines • Knowledge of Hyperion Planning, Essbase and Oracle Finance ERP is an asset • Self-motivated with a positive collaborative attitude • 3+ years of progressive experience within finance What's in it for you: We believe in investing in our people and helping them reach their potential as valuable members of our team.
