The pay range is $73,000.00 - $132,000.00

A role in Corporate Development means being a part of a dynamic team that works across the enterprise to deliver Target’s inorganic growth opportunities. You will build a proactive pipeline of acquisition and partnership opportunities and drive the execution of deals. You’ll also support internal partners and build relationships with external partners to expand and enhance Target’s presence.   

As a Sr. Financial Analyst, Corporate Development you will provide analysis and research to wide range of projects to help guide strategic decisions. You will bring clarity to new business opportunities, benchmark competitor activity, and partner with colleagues to create meaningful financial analysis in support of key business priorities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support valuation analyses and business case modeling that inform potential acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures

  • Support all aspects of executing corporate development transactions

  • Support pipeline development initiatives by preparing company profiles and summaries various databases and sources of information

  • Research competitive information as well as key concepts and approaches with business partners

  • Communicate analysis and make recommendations for improving processes to leadership

  • Financial analysis, including discounted cash flow modeling and understanding of financial statements

  • Ability to perform independent research and clearly communicate findings

  • Provide essential information to the right people at the right time; relationship-building aptitude

About you:

  • Undergraduate Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant Finance modeling experience (including FP&A and/or M&A experience)

  • Ability to interpret complex information and communicate results to partners

  • Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, natural curiosity & learning mentality, enjoy exploratory ‘what if’ analyses

  • Experience with MS Office tools – especially Excel and PowerPoint

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite (3 days/week) at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
