Job DescriptionDESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO) Architect to lead and provide hands-on functional architecture for enterprise-scale ECC to S/4HANA transformation programs across commercial and manufacturing environments.
The ideal candidate combines deep SAP Finance expertise with strong business acumen, exceptional stakeholder communication, and a proven record of successfully architecting and delivering multiple complex S/4HANA transformations. This individual must be equally comfortable engaging senior Finance leadership, driving cross-functional design decisions, and working hands-on with detailed SAP processes and configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end SAP Finance architecture and solution design for ECC to S/4HANA transformations.
- Drive fit-to-standard, process simplification, harmonization, and adoption of S/4HANA capabilities rather than simply replicating legacy ECC processes.
- Provide deep functional leadership across GL, AR, AP, Banking, Cash Management, Asset Accounting, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Intercompany, period-end close, and financial reporting.
- Lead Finance integration across SD, MM, PP, manufacturing, procurement, sales, and other enterprise processes.
- Serve as a key Finance architect for SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), including solution design, integration, accounting, testing, reconciliation, migration, and deployment.
- Represent Finance and business stakeholder interests in major solution and architecture decisions.
- Translate complex business, accounting, compliance, and control requirements into scalable S/4HANA solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, automation, controls, compliance, data quality, and operational excellence.
- Lead Finance aspects of data migration, SIT/UAT, reconciliation, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
- Facilitate executive and working-level design discussions and effectively manage cross-functional teams and implementation partners.
Leadership Profile:
We are looking for a business-focused architect, not simply a configuration specialist-someone who can move seamlessly between executive-level discussions and hands-on SAP solution design. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and collaborative team player who can challenge legacy processes constructively, represent business stakeholder interests, drive difficult cross-functional decisions, and deliver solutions that improve process efficiency, financial controls, compliance, and overall business excellence.
REQUIREMENTSRequired Experience:
- Extensive SAP FICO/S/4HANA Finance experience with demonstrated senior architect or solution-lead responsibilities.
- Proven delivery of multiple enterprise ECC to S/4HANA conversion/transformation programs, preferably in complex global environments.
- Strong hands-on experience across both commercial and manufacturing Finance processes.
- Expert knowledge of GL, AR, AP, Banking, Cash, Assets, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Intercompany, and Finance integration.
- Strong practical SAP RAR implementation experience is essential, including revenue contracts, performance obligations, allocation, fulfillment, revenue recognition, integration, and accounting.
- Strong understanding of S/4HANA Finance architecture, Universal Journal, Business Partner, and key ECC-to-S/4 process changes.
- Experience with financial controls, compliance, audit requirements, data migration, testing, reconciliation, and cutover.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior Finance, business, IT, and program leadership.
