About the roleAs the Senior Manager, Partnerships and Special Projects Business Finance, you'll help define how we grow our business through our network of partners, build frameworks that enable us to scale efficiently, and influence strategic decision-making.
This role will build the financial framework that powers one of our biggest growth levers. You'll partner with Product, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Finance leaders to evaluate where we should invest, how to scale partnerships profitably, and where opportunities exist to expand into new verticals. Approximately 25% of the role will focus on special projects designed to build scalable frameworks that help keep both sides of the marketplace in equilibrium and guide investment decisions accordingly.
This is a strategic finance role for someone who can move beyond reporting and forecasting into business architecture, deal economics, decision support, and investment strategy. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable bringing structure to ambiguous marketplace problems.
What you'll do- Own and evolve the company's partnership financial framework, helping teams develop sustainable financial strategies and evaluate valuation, payback periods, scenario analysis, and revenue-share structures
- Establish reporting infrastructure and KPI dashboards to monitor the ongoing ROI of partnerships, hold cross-functional partners accountable to financial commitments, and identify actions to improve performance when results are off track
- Develop business cases for major partner investments, pricing levers, supply acquisition, demand generation, and operational capacity
- Support annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and resource allocation by connecting partnership strategy and execution to the company's financial goals
- Build executive-ready narratives that clearly explain marketplace performance, investment tradeoffs, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
- Partner with Analytics and Data Science to build dashboards and decision tools that give business leaders visibility into partnership health and investment performance
- Lead special projects focused on developing scalable financial frameworks that inform marketplace investment decisions and help maintain healthy supply-and-demand dynamics
In order to be successful, you must bring- 6+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, marketplace strategy, business operations, corporate strategy, consulting, analytics, or a related function
- Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with driver-based models, cohort models, unit economics, LTV/CAC, contribution margin, ROI analysis, scenario planning, and long-range planning
- Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, including supply-and-demand balance, liquidity, matching, utilization, pricing, incentives, retention, and monetization
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior executives and cross-functional partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build concise executive narratives and influence stakeholders across Finance, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations
- SQL, BI, AI fluency, or data visualization experience preferred but not required, depending on the analytics support model
Expected salary ranges- For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently $191,300.00 - $247,500.00.
- For candidates living in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, the expected salary range for the role is currently $172,600.00 - $223,300.00.
- For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected salary range for this role is currently $162,400.00 - $210,100.00.
