Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Sr. Finance Control Specialist who will provide accounting support to the Finance Control team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, treasury, and taxation and will work closely with Finance Control Team, commercial team, and Qcells HQ in South Korea. This position will be based out of Irvine, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support monthly closing activities related to ERP-managed processes.
  • Manage reports for Sale, Cost of Goods Sold, AP/AR Aging, inter-company transactions, Trial Balance, and consolidated accounting
  • Prepare documentation for auditing
  • Perform daily accounting operations, including journal entries, payroll entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare documentation for auditing
  • Assist the Team leader with sales and use tax returns, property tax returns, and excise tax filings across multiple states.
  • Provide backup support to other finance control team members.
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management or the Team leader
  • Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field with 3+ years of professional work experience
  • Bilingual in English and Korean
  • Strong experience with SAP systems
  • Strong understanding of month-end and year-end processes required
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and technical accounting standards.
  • Advanced Excell skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Solar and BESS Industry experience (Renewable)
