About the Role:As a CBRE Facilities Sr. Manager, you will manage many functions of building operations and maintenance for a large pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Clients regarding all repairs and investment plans.
Scope of Services managed by the Sr. FM include maintaining systems such as Utilities, Automation, Material Handling, interior and exterior Fit/Finish and all other site systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing). In addition, the Sr FM will lead teams focused on CBRE Soft Services scope (Janitorial, Food, Landscaping/Snow removal, Pest Control, etc).
All services delivered must maintain strict adherence to GxP guidelines required by the client and regulatory governing agencies.
This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday in RTP, NC in Durham, NC with up to 10% travel.
What You'll Do:- Oversee key performance indicators and financial performance of a region of GxP manufacturing sites. Implement measures to keep performance meeting client expectations.
- Develop and approve annual operating budgets.
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Support large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports either directly or via CBRE Project Managers.
- Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. These sites will be FDA regulated.
- Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Develop vendor relationships and contracts. Oversee execution of third party services executed by these vendors. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for FM services and projects.
- Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence) values. Coach managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
- Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational and organizational problems using the appropriate resources within or outside the department. Apply root cause analysis to critical issues in the Manufacturing environment.
- Represent scope of services and performance (financial and KPI's) to senior level clients.
- Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
What You'll Need:- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
- Life Sciences Leadership experience in a Manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
